Honestly I'm not positive. Unfortunately I must have a bad memory because I can hardly remember anything before 8 years old and some people talk about how they remember things when they were 2 or 3.
I do remember when I was probably 5-6 when I saw a swear word written on the side of a building at school. I was learning to read and read it. Another kid heard me and told on me. I was so afraid of getting in trouble.
I do have several early memories that I don't have a clue how old I was...so I probably have older memories I just don't realize it.
One of my earliest childhood memories was when I was in an accident with a tractor. This happened when I was around five years old. The tractor was on the farm and was being fixed I think. My brother Brian and I got on the tractor and somehow it began to go (I think Brian was responsible for that!). Anyway, I got scared and decided to jump off. I think my pant leg caught on some of the gears or the clutch and I was dragged or run over by the tractor. What I remember is that I was in the car and we were at the doctor's office and he said to go to the hospital. Then I vaguely remember being put on a gurney at the hospital. I also remember telling my parents when they asked if I remembered if I was run over or dragged by the tractor. I said that I was dragged even though I didn't know which it was because I though being dragged would be better because I wouldn't be hurt so bad. Then I remember being at home and people visiting me. By then I was feeling pretty good but the doctor said I shouldn't walk so I crawled around the house! Like that was any better!
One of my earliest memories was when Emily was in preschool. I got to go visit her preschool that day. I just remember glimpses of things like wearing a name tag, playing on the slide, etc. So I would have been about three years old. I actually don't remember a lot from my preschool year, but starting Kindergarten, I pretty much remember everything.
Like Bethany, I don't remember a lot before about eight years old. I remember tap dance lessons and doing the kick ball change move over and over. I remember events that were on home videos, one of which still haunts me. I probably only remember those because they were on videotape. I remember helping at Bethany's preschool program. I remember singing "Whose behind the false face" and Halloween songs in Kindergarten.
