The dishes are probably by far my least favorite chore. (Although, our dryer has issues currently and it takes me AGES to finish the laundry...so that is pretty high on the list.)
ReplyDeleteI actually don't mind vacuuming (except stairs aren't my favorite). I mostly like it cause for some reason it makes the house go from "clean" to "really clean" looking.
This is an easy question for me to answer. My least favorite chore is emptying the dishwasher.
ReplyDeleteAs for a favorite (?!), when we were first married with 2 children we lived in married student housing at BYU with no washers and dryers. We had to go to centrally located laundramat to do laundry and fight for the washers. It was also the era of NO disposable diapers and I had two children in diapers. I vowed then and there that I would NEVER complain about doing the laundry. So after I got a washer and dryer (we had an apartment-size one for about 5 years and I didn't even mind that), I thought that it was wonderful and I have appreciated the convenience ever since.
Hands down, my least favorite household chore would be cleaning toilets. It gives me the heebie jeebies and after I clean them, I promptly wash my hands, arms and any other part of my body where I may have "splashed" while cleaning. Second to that would be cleaning the blinds and baseboards. I'm not much of a duster, so those items in particular really struggle.
ReplyDeletePretty much everything else is enjoyable to me. Those that know me know that I love a clean house and an organized house. I don't go to bed with a dirty house...I like to wake up with a fresh start to my day instead of the dread of waking up with endless chores already on my list from the day before. I love doing dishes and actually don't use a dishwasher (maybe a handful of times a year) because I can't wait that long to have my clean dishes back in their rightful spots. I guess I would say I'm a little OCD (Obsessive Compulsive) about cleanliness and organization.
My favorite chore, well, the one I am willing to do most is clean the toilet. I also love it when my bed is made. The chore I hate the most is vacuuming and and cleaning up my hair. I feel like it's a never ending job. I don't hate vacuuming but the hair that gets caught in the vacuum bugs me.
