Family

How would you describe your grandmother on your mother's side?

  1. I would describe her as being very active. She is always golfing, making dolls, painting, or picking up some other new talent. I remember hearing a story about her climbing through her bathroom window in pajamas because she went to get the newspaper and locked herself out. I also know my grandmother as being caring towards those that are close to her. She visits with neighbors and brings them food or gifts. I also remember her watching over bachan, grampa's mom.

  2. Active, funny, artistic...there are other words to describe her, but they don't come to mind right at the moment. She definitely seems MUCH younger than her age, not only in looks but in the way she acts and I'm sure the way she feels. I've always loved her Japanese cooking and sense of humor.

  3. Grandma Namba...an avid golfer, a good painter, a gifted doll maker, super germ-a-phobe, good taste in home decor, a great cook, thoughtful, energetic, and not afraid to try and learn new things. She is also fun to play cards with (especially when her siblings are present...it's a good reminder that sibling rivalries still exist as you age).
