What is your favorite holiday? Why?

  1. It would probably be Christmas because that is when you get the most family time and fun activities to go and do. I used to hate all the decorations and set up (not looking at them but putting them up and taking them down) and I hated buying people gifts (unless they told me exactly what they wanted because I fear people not liking their present and wishing I spent my time and money elsewhere). But since being married...Tyson is gradually getting me into the spirit of Christmas. He loves Christmas.

  2. My favorite holiday is Christmas. It always has been. When I was younger, it was all about the excitement that surrounded Christmas, the giving and getting, and the fun family traditions. As I've grown older, it's remained my favorite holiday, but for different reasons. I truly enjoy the "family time," the giving, the service projects, and the reminder of Jesus Christ. There is a spirit about Christmas that has always been there. I've always felt it strongly...but perhaps in my aging, I've understood where it truly comes from.

  3. I like a lot of holidays. I like Christmas decorations, music, and family time. When I say music I don't mean a lot of the commercial music like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman but songs like Handel's Messiah, the First Noel, and Silent Night. I like decorating. I have about 5 different nativity scenes and decorations from all over the world. I love the service projects we do as a family and the time we spend together looking at lights and going to plays.

Easter is another wonderful holiday to think about Christ. I love that it is in the Spring when there is new life blooming all around. The flowers and green grass is so refreshing after winter.

Halloween has become a new one that I have come to enjoy because of all the dressing up and the fact that I get to use our hat collection is fun.

New Years is great because of the traditional Japanese food. I love our family's tradition of Japanese food on New Years.

Basically I love holidays. I could go on and on probably but I suppose I will stop.

  4. My favorite holidays would probably be christmas (just lots of great things to do) and I have always liked the Fourth of July. It makes me realize how special it is to be an American citizen and how important our country is. Being patriotic just seems so important.
